Wood Music

YEARS from Bartholomäus Traubeck on Vimeo.

A record player that reads “ring data” on slices of wood and translates it into music. Cool for musicians, engineers and wood enthusiasts alike!

Tim Ferris

Author of The 4-Hour Body, The 4-Hour Work Week and The 4-Hour Chef, Tim Ferris shows us that being your best possible self is easier than you think. He offers advice to attain the ideal lifestyle by promoting practices outside of medical mainstream. Andy is attempting Ferriss’s Slow Carb Diet challenge for the next few weeks having read the book last year and tested some of the methods. He has successfully turned down all of the pastries, bagels and cookies that were brought into WORK today.

Dieline Top 100 Packaging Designs of 2011

We’re ecstatic to see our name amongst all the other great designers and brands that made up The Dieline’s Top 100 Package Designs of 2011. Our WORK Beer was sent off to them early in the year and came in at #37. Our LAB RATS Alpha Kit squeeked in just below at #35. Thanks to The Dieline and everyone who helped make this work great! Congrats to the rest of the list as well. If you haven’t seen The Dieline and this years winners, be sure to check it out here.

More Cool Signage

We really like this smart bathroom signage solution by Aliza Dzik.

WORK Tools: For A Job Well Done

Check out these awesome WORK tools that we just got back from our friends at Big Secret!  Happy Friday!

Move by Rick Mereki

MOVE from Rick Mereki on Vimeo.

We love the videos made by Rick Mereki. 3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage. This is an awesome way to turn your trip or culinary adventure into an art project. Nice work!

Fun at WORK!

There is never a dull moment here at WORK Labs! Today our CT Neil brought in this tiny little helicopter for us to play with! It’s been lots of fun watching it soar through the office! And we knew that it wouldn’t be complete without it’s own WORK landing pad.

Memories

Here are the ashes of the fire that we had during our holiday party this year. We had such a great time that we wanted to make this little memento. With this reminder, we can fondly look back on the good times that were had, even for those of us who were so drunk that there is little to no memory at all of what happened…wait, WAS there a holiday party??

Old People Signage

Casey found some pretty cool images of signage used to make a retirement facility a little more cozy. I hope these old people are into design!
