Incredible “Invisible” Bike Helmet

Traditionally, all bike helmets have looked similar, donning the same basic structure throughout history. But alas, two Swedish women, Terese Alstin and Anna Haupt have broken the mold of conventional bicycle helmets. After 7 years of technical research, they have come up with an ‘invisible bike helmet,’ which is essentially an air bag for bike riders that looks like a collar or scarf. Their invention is called the Hövding.  The only downfalls are that it costs $600 and only works once. Regardless of these two negatives, the Hovding is revolutionary for the bicycle world and is hopefully the start of a safer and a larger community of bike riding.
